About Joshua

I'm Joshua Snyder — an investor, operator, and dealmaker who has spent a career buying, building, and financing businesses, and a reader who can't stop taking notes.

My deal work spans the full arc of modern M&A: scaling and financing Columbia Care through its growth into one of the largest cannabis operators in the U.S., taking companies public through SPACs, building consumer brands like Sunny Seltzers, and investing across asset classes through family office vehicles at Squares Capital and Radical Capital.

Along the way I've learned that most of what matters in deals never shows up in the model: integration is harder than acquisition, synergies are mostly fiction, and the relationships you build are the most durable asset on any balance sheet.

I write in three places:

  • Making M&A Work — practical lessons from acquisitions, integrations, rollups, SPACs, and negotiations.
  • Capital & Curiosity — essays on investing, entrepreneurship, decision-making, and the ideas that compound.
  • Rad Book Club — short notes on books worth reading and lessons worth remembering.

If any of that sounds useful, the best way to follow along is the email list below.
